Working with Kids Thrive since its inception, Narelle has helped steer the organisation through the fresh waters of early establishment as founding General Manager. In 2016 Narelle takes a skip, hop and a jump across to the role of Finance and Development Manager.
With over twenty years experience specialising in communications, producing and management for arts and cultural organisations in Melbourne and internationally, Narelle has a strong interest in community cultural development.
As an editor, she has worked for Inpress Magazine, the Barbican in London, Monash University and the Australian Institute of Employment Rights.
She was Events Publicist with the Melbourne Festival for four years, International Publicist for The Famous Spiegeltent, and a marketing consultant for a number of cultural organisations, including Big West, Theatreworks and Western Edge Youth Arts.
For Melbourne Fringe, Narelle produced the photographic installation by New York artist Spencer Tunick, and the International Arts Symposium for Gasworks Arts Park’s 2009 Art of Difference Festival.
Prior to working with Kids Thrive, Narelle was General Manager for the Big West Festival. Narelle has been a board member for The Push and Western Edge Youth Arts (current).
