GivingTuesday – join the global movement

On 3 December this year, millions of people across the globe will mobilise to show up, give back, and change their communities.

Join the movement

The GivingTuesday goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond that day, and touches every person on the planet and Kids Thrive will be a part of it.

As Victoria’s leading organisation committed to child-led, creative change, we understand that every act of generosity counts, and each act means even more when we give together, as Australians and as global citizens. Kids Thrive is getting involved in Giving Tuesday for two reasons:

  1. To inspire people to champion the kids in their communities who are leading creative change.
  2. To raise $20,000 to get our award-winning child-led change program Kids’ Community Action Bootcamp into a disadvantaged school in Victoria.

GivingTuesday started in 2012 and is today a global movement that has been built by individuals, families, organisations, businesses and communities in the U.S. and in countries around the world. The movement harnesses the collective power of a unique blend of partners
to transform how people think about, talk about, and participate in the giving season. It inspires people to take collective action to improve their communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they believe in, and help create a better world.

Use your Voice!

Kids Thrive is asking anyone who believes in our mission to speak up.

If you are aware of positive, child-led activity in their community to contribute to this, by sharing it with their networks. Use your voice and champion the voice, choice and agency of children!
